While E3 is all about video games, sometimes a star steals the show and gets people talking. This time, it was Jon Bernthal’s dog Bam Bam that did it.
When it comes to garnering publicity at E3, many video game companies turn to celebrities to make a splash. And while Keanu Reeves helped to kick things off, it was actually Jon Bernthal’s dog, Bam Bam, who is winning the conference.
As Mashable reports, during the Ubisoft presentation, Bernthal (who you may recognize from The Walking Dead or The Punisher) took the stage to introduce the world to Ghost Recon Breakpoint. But the actor was not alone, as he was joined by his dog Bam Bam.
Once the actor introduced his dog, that was all anyone needed to see or hear. After all, there was a pup on stage and that means that we all forgot all about why Jon Bernthal was there or what he was presenting.
And if you think I am kidding, just look at social media, where plenty of people made it clear that they were here for the dog at this point. Of course, the fact that both Reeves and a dog were stealing the E3 show meant that there were even posts referencing John Wick which were humorous and quite fitting.
IGN wanted us to know that there was a “Good Boi” at the conference, sharing a video of Bernthal telling the audience that he was excited to be here, even as the camera focused on Bam Bam as much as it did the actor.
Another Twitter user wanted to know the most important thing about Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and that is whether or not players get the chance to actually pet Bam Bam when they are playing.
With the John Wick jokes, this Twitter user shared a picture from the movie franchise that reminded us that Bam Bam could be a doggy stunt double.
Of course, Ubisoft shared their own post about Jon Bernthal and Bam Bam on Twitter. Although they chose to thank the dynamic duo for representing the game, along with a picture of the two together on the stage.
Clearly if you want to steal the show at any conference or meeting, it is all about the dogs (which we agree with completely). After all, there were plenty of social media posts that made it clear that they were only here for the pup at this point, meaning that Bam Bam was the ultimate scene stealer.
If you want to see more of Bam Bam, you can check out Jon Bernthal’s social media pages, as he often shares pictures of his three dogs, including the E3 star.
