Secret Life of Pets 2 soundtrack is here with a song that give us all the summer vibes
The Secret Life of Pets 2 soundtrack is officially here and with it comes a new song that is all about those summer vibes.
When it comes to the soundtrack for a movie like Secret Life of Pets 2, we rarely think of catchy songs that are going to be part of our seasonal playlists. However, thanks to Lunchmoney Lewis and Anime, that has certainly changed.
As part of the release of their newest soundtrack, The Secret Life of Pets 2 took to Instagram in order to share what is essentially a music video for “It’s Gonna Be a Lovely Day.” Here is a song that is not only perfect for the animated movie, but it is also a catchy track that will have you adding it your summer playlist immediately.
In the video from Secret Life of Pets 2, we get to see different clips from the movies, as some of the lyrics from the song come up on the screen. This not only lets us learn the song that much faster, but in some cases the scenes used worked perfectly with the lyrics themselves.
“It’s Gonna Be a Lovely Day” is catchy, upbeat, and exactly what we expected from the movie. And as a far as sequels go, this song is exactly what we need to help push the story forward.
While this song is not the only one on the soundtrack, obviously, it is definitely going to be the most listened to of the bunch. At the same time, there is also the addition of the classic song, “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard,” which is always fun to sing and bop around to.
Beyond these two songs, however, much of the soundtrack is more orchestral in nature. The music is still amazing, but it may not join the summer playlist, depending on what you enjoy listening to on a beach worthy day.
As an added bonus, the soundtrack does give us the Snowball sung rendition of “Panda,” as performed by Kevin Hart. So if you found yourself playing the song on repeat thanks to the Instagram video Secret Life of Pets 2 posted on May 21 (I know I did), then you are in luck and you won’t need to head to the social media platform for your “Panda” fix anymore.
