Will the dinosaurs rule the 2019 NBA Finals, or will the dynasty continue?
It’s time for the 2019 NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV, and the Eastern Conference champions Toronto Raptors are taking on the best of the West in the Golden State Warriors, who are in the Finals for the fifth straight year.
To get to the finals, the Raptors defeated the Orlando Magic in five games in the first round. Next they went the full distance of seven games to topple the Philadelphia 76ers in the semifinals, and then beat the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals in six games.
The Warriors path saw them as the top seed, defeating the Los Angeles Clippers in six games in the first round, grounding the Houston Rockets in six games in the semifinals, and sweeping the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference Finals.
As always, the basketball fans among the dogs of Instagram are cheering on their favorite teams.
Cody the Golden Retriever not only was dressed in his favorite Raptors jersey, but he had his ball and a headband, too.
The Toronto Huskies were one of the original teams in the NBA when it was still known as the Basketball Association of America in the first season of 1946-47, and they hosted the league’s first game.
Coconut Rice Bear the Samoyed might be Canadian by birth, but since she lives in the San Francisco area, it’s Warriors all the way for this pup.
