Game of Thrones fans in Chicago can bring their dog to a season 8 premiere event at Replay Lincoln Park.

Game of Thrones may be a little light on the canines, except for scary direwolves, but that doesn’t mean fans of the wildly popular HBO drama can’t bring their doggos to an event for the season 8 premiere.

Chicago bar Replay Lincoln Park is doing a dog-friendly pop-up event, called “Dogs on Thrones,” for the Game of Thrones final season premiere on Thursday, April 11, from 6 p..m. to 9 p.m., with help from the people at Figo Pet Insurance.

The free event will benefit One Tail at a Time, a Chicagoland rescue organization.

Human guests must be 21 or older, and all dogs are welcome. With a cash donation of any amount, you can take your dog’s picture sitting on the Iron Throne.

Guests are encouraged to use the hashtag #DogsOnThrones for social media posts at the event.

A pop up is when a bar or restaurant temporarily turns into a certain theme. Though the dog-friendly event is only Thursday night, the GOT theme runs until April 14.

Other themes Replay Lincoln Park has put on include Buffy the Vampire SlayerFriends, The Office, Pokemon, Star Wars and South Park.

They offer over sixty different vintage arcade games for guests to enjoy, in addition to air hockey, billiards (pool), pinball and skeeball,

For a quick recap of the events of the previous seven seasons from Game of Thrones, our sister site Winter Is Coming, which specializes in the show, made a refresher video. It sounds nuts.

The Dog O’Day staff doesn’t really follow the show, but we think someone from Doghouse Bark will eventually sit on the Iron Throne, which sounds quite pointy and uncomfortable. A bed would mean better naps.
