Dogs of Instagram celebrate St Patrick’s Day
St Patrick’s Day was Sunday, and the dogs of Instagram celebrated accordingly.
While St Patrick’s Day is traditionally a holiday celebrated by humans, the dogs of Instagram were sure to get into the spirit of the holiday as well.
At Dog O’Day, we’re pretty sure that St Pawtrick was an Irish Setter, though this is impossible to confirm, as he lived thousands of dog generations ago.
Some (about 1,800 or so in total) dogs were in Tulsa, Oklahoma, competing in the 2019 AKC National Championships of Rally, Obedience and Agility.
Others, not quite so athletically gifted, cheered on their favorite college basketball teams from the couch as the conference tournaments came to a close.
Still others went for walks or got dressed up.
These pups really enjoyed a visit with a friend, and that they got to wear their fancy green bandannas.
This pack might have partied a little too hard…oops.
Malibu the Golden Retriever looks rather concerned about this hat-wearing and bandanna business…or maybe just really concentrating on looking cute for the picture before getting to eat that cookie.
“Yes, I’m a cute leperchaun. Please take this silly hat off of me now?” seems to be what this pupper is thinking.
Zoe the Labrador mix and her person, The Gifted actress Emma Dumont, went to a pawrade in San Francisco, and then went on lots of walks, which sounds like a great weekend.
With it being Selection Sunday, Zsophia the Vizsla made sure to fill out her NCAA Tournament brackets.
This Cocker Spaniel is all set to cheer for her University of Washington Huskies during March Madness.
Finally, these guys finished off the day with a beautiful walk at sunset, which seems like a terrific way to finish off a holiday, if you ask us.
