Lady and the Tramp

Lady and the Tramp may have been released in 1955, but it is such a timeless animated dog movie that it truly has become a classic film in the Disney vault. In fact, this movie is so beloved that Disney is actually working on a live action version of the animated film, and we can not wait.

There is a lot to love about this movie, even as it also gave us one of the most iconic scenes ever in an animated movie. Who doesn’t remember the romantic moment when Lady and the Tramp our out on their date night enjoying a plate of Italian food under the moonlight? And who hasn’t tried to recreate the epic moment when these two pups find themselves on opposite ends of the same strand of spaghetti? That lovely moment is one that instantly made this movie near and dear to my romantic loving heart.

Even as there are the expected tragic and sad moments that we see in nearly every Disney movie, there is still plenty of hope and happiness as well. Basically, Lady and the Tramp has all of the things we expect out of a Disney movie, and so much more.

And yes, there was a sequel to this animated movie. But it is hard to surpass the original in sheer classic nostalgia. However, that doesn’t mean we aren’t excited over the fact that there is a live action version of the movie coming our way. In fact, I would have to say the announcement that Lady and the Tramp was getting revived for a new generation was one that we did not necessarily see coming. And yet it was definitely well received.
