Trader Joe’s might be a trendy grocery store, but for some people it is so much more than that. It is also a place to draw inspiration from when it comes to naming their pet.

When it comes to picking the perfect name for our pets, we look for inspiration in any number of places. From human names to heroic names, there are a lot of options when it comes to finding the perfect name for our dogs. But have you ever turned to Trader Joe’s for inspiration?

It turns out that there are plenty of people who are finding the perfect name for their new pets thanks to the aisles at their local Trader Joe’s. And while you may be wondering what name a dog could find at a trendy grocery store, Bustle was quick to give us seven options that are not only inspired, but even rather masterful.

Food-inspired dog names are nothing new, and we have even written about them before, after they increased in popularity in 2018. But, thanks to Trader Joe’s we have even more unique foodie names to offer our canine companions.

At the top of the list for pet names was Cheddar. And while that might seem rather generic and like you could pick that up at any store (you totally can), with the amazing varieties at Trader Joe’s you might just feel more inspired to get your cheese on (both in terms of eating and naming your new pet).

Next up is Avo. Thanks to the extra small avocados that the store sells, you never have to worry about the delicious and healthy treat going bad before you finish it. At the same time, it is easy to draw inspiration from this, as Avo seems like the perfect name for a small dog (just think about how cute it would be to have a Chihuahua or Pomeranian named Avo).

How about naming your pup Bamba after the company’s peanut snacks? We all know a dog who loves peanut butter, so what better way to make that work for you in the name game than to go with Bamba? Honestly, it is a clear Trader Joe’s original, and that makes it perfect for any one who loves the store enough to use them as an inspiration for a dog’s name.

Thanks to Trader Joe’s Jingle Jangle treats, your pet could take on the adorable moniker of Jangle. And while Riverdale fans might be worried about how that worked out for them, we think Jangle is a cute name for a pup, especially one that arrives around the holidays.

You know what is synonymous with Trader Joe’s? Pumpkin and pumpkin spice products are a big deal during the fall, which is why Pumpkin makes the list of inspired names. And sure, Starbucks might seem like they have the market cornered on the whole Pumpkin Spice thing, but we all know the truth.

Now, while I know I mentioned seven inspired names, I think these five might be the best or at the very least the ones that make the most sense. Which is why we are sticking to these five as the best Trader Joe’s inspired dog names, at least for now. Because who knows what could happen this year, as we may find ourselves looking at new products in the store and thinking that would be a great name for Pomeranian or this is perfect for a Labrador Retriever.

And sure, you could go with Spot or Fido for your dog, but why not give something more interesting a chance. After all, who wouldn’t want a dog named Cheddar or Avo?
