Pets are running for president on Twitter and we would vote for these dogs

With talk of the 2020 presidential election already kicking into high gear, pets on Twitter have gotten in on the action with #IfMyPetRanForPresident.

Our pets are a big deal, at least for us. And when it comes to important issues, we often lean on our dogs for support. And over the last few days, with talk of the 2020 presidential election kicking up a notch, Twitter went wild with a fun presidential hashtag that has us looking at what it would mean #IfMyPetRanForPresident.

Of course, Twitter did not disappoint us in the least with this hashtag, as we were treated to a wide assortment of pets who would be perfect presidential candidates. From cats to dogs, there were plenty of slogans and cute pictures that had us cheering for our favorite animals to run for office. In fact, we rounded up some of our favorite pups attached to this hashtag, and not only would we vote for these dogs, but we think you would too.

This pup is much more serious in his campaign promises. In fact, he wants canine citizens and all of their allies to get the support they need. We wholeheartedly support this on behalf of dogs everywhere.

Then there is this pooch who is not only a snazzy dresser, but seems serious about his entire campaign. In fact, we agree that he might win just because of his looks.

We definitely support this dog’s vision for his presidency, as he is all for waking up late. As people who enjoy sleep, we are down for not having to get up until mid-morning.

Honestly, we love how the dog lovers of Twitter jumped on this hashtag. And we admit that we would totally vote for any one of these pups. Whether it was their campaign photo or their slogans and platforms, these dogs are clearly ready for a presidential run, and we are completely here for it.
