Team Fluff is all set to defend their title in Puppy Bowl XV.
Team Fluff is ready to add a second straight Chewy.com Lombarky Trophy to their shelf this year following a victory in Puppy Bowl XV against Team Ruff.
Last year, the Fluffers scored a last-second touchdown to win Puppy Bowl XIV by a 52-47 score over the Ruffers.
(For more on the history of the game, see our primer here.)
This year’s roster is set to defend the title and look adorable while doing it. Let’s dive into the Team Fluff starting lineup.
From the Virginia Beach SPCA – Ace
Ace is looking to win the MVP (Most Valuable Puppy) Award this year.
From Animal Friends Humane Society in Hamilton, Ohio – Astro
Astro is all set to intercept all the toys.
From Dog Star Rescue in Canton, Connecticut – Brady
Brady is named after legendary New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, and he’s hoping to follow his namesake’s example in helping Team Fluff defeat Team Ruff. He would also like to visit the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, someday.
From AHeinz57 Pet Rescue in De Soto, Iowa – Brooklyn
With her love of football, Brooklyn is ready to quarterback her team to victory.
From the Double J Dog Ranch in Hauser, Idaho – Bumble
As an albino, Bumble channels the spirit of 1930s Chicago Bears legend Red Grange, the “Galloping Ghost.”
From Florida Little Dogs Rescue in St. Cloud, Florida – Clara
Clara is using her Pembroke Corgi cuteness to slip past blockers and get a ton of tackles.
From the Citizens for Animal Protection in Houston, Texas – Dawn
Dawn is a big fan of sports in general, particularly the Astros, Rockets and Texans. She also loves watching her favorite TV show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
From the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland in Maine – Flora
Flora is cheering on New England in the Super Bowl, but she’d rather be chewing on – er, reading – a Stephen King novel. (Cujo‘s her favorite.)
From the Providence Animal Center in Media, Pennsylvania – Foles
Foles is named after Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles, who led his team to the 41-33 win in Super Bowl LII over New England. He hopes he can live up to his namesake’s example and do his part to earn a Team Fluff win.
