One shelter dog out of Utah is looking to find a new home thanks to an adoption video featuring Marie Kondo’s cleaning method.

On Netflix, there is a new show streaming called Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, and it is exactly what it says it is – a show about organization and tidying up with expert Marie Kondo. Since it began streaming on Jan.1, the series, Kondo, and her organizational skills, which are referred to as the KonMari method, have gone viral. And now one shelter dog in Utah is using the #KonMari method to show off her own skills in order to find a new home.

As The Dog People explained, Bella is a staffy mix who is currently “between homes.” But that’s not stopping Bella from showing the world that she is hip and up-to-date on what is trending. In fact, thanks to a video posted by the Humane Society of Utah, we got to watch the dog version of the KonMari method in action.

After being told that her room was a mess, Bella had to put all of her things into a pile in order to go through them. While all of her toys were put into a pile, that did not last long as she immediately did the autumn leaf thing where she jumped in and began playing with her toys. The next step was to go through all of her toys and hold each one to figure out which ones sparked joy for her. Unsurprisingly, when it comes to figuring out which toys to get rid of based on what sparks joy, Bella simply couldn’t give any of her things up, but that’s okay.

The entire purpose of Marie Kondo’s tidying up methods is to identify all of the items one owns and only keep the things we absolutely need or the things that make us happy. And even though Bella maybe a shelter dog, she is definitely happy with the toys she has. Now it is just about finding her forever home.

Hopefully potential dog parents will see the video of Bella trying out Marie Kondo’s methods for tidying up and decide that the pup sparks joy for them.

What do you think of Bella’s attempts at trying the KonMari method of cleaning up? Do you think this adoption video will inspire more people to check out shelter dogs in their area? Tell us what you think in the comments.
