Tulsa’s Sky Fitness is hosting an adoption event at all three locations on January 19.

Sky Fitness and Wellbeing, a small chain of gyms in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area, will host their “Cardio for Canines” event this Saturday, January 19.

This will be the third annual Cardio for Canines fundraiser, and could potentially pull in out-of-town customers attending the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire, the premiere dirt racing event of the season for midget cars. The event draws racers and fans from all over the country, including NASCAR stars like Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell and Chase Briscoe.

From 8:30 a.m. to noon, for every mile ran, meter rowed, story climbed, group fitness class attended or training session that patrons complete, Sky Fitness will donate to local animal rescue groups serving northeastern Oklahoma.

Members and non-members are encouraged to bring dog toys or dog food as a donation, and non-members will receive a free one-day pass for donating an item.

There are three Sky locations available: the original (South) location in the Village South Shopping Center on 10121 S. Sheridan Road, the Midtown location at 4103 S. Yale Avenue inside Promenade Mall, and the Broken Arrow location at 1205 E. Kenosha in the suburb of Broken Arrow.

The Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) will be at the the Broken Arrow location, Puppy Haven Rescue will be at the South location, and Route 66 Pet Rescue will be at the Midtown location.

Each rescue group will have dogs available for adoption, so it could be the perfect time to think up a good name for your new friend as you set out to make 2019 a healthier year.
