Scotty McCreery and wife Gabi adopt puppy called Moose
Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi adopt adorable new puppy.
Country music star Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi have adopted a new puppy named Moose to kick off 2019.
McCreery announced the new addition on his Instagram Saturday afternoon (January 5). It looks like Moose is a Golden Retriever, but he’s so small it’s a little hard to tell still. (Update: Moose is a yellow Lab.)
Moose has his own first-person POV Instagram page, which already has nearly 10,000 followers.
“Can’t wait for so many pawesome adventures with my new parents Scooter and Gabi!” Moose wrote in the caption of his first post.
The first of these adventures appears to be helping steer Scotty’s truck around the field, naturally quoting an Alan Jackson classic, “Drive (For Daddy Gene),” while doing so.
McCreery rose to fame by winning season 10 of American Idol as a high schooler in Garner, North Carolina, auditioning with Josh Turner’s “Why Don’t We Just Dance?”, and also singing hits by country legends Garth Brooks, John Michael Montgomery, George Strait and Travis Tritt as the competition went on, along with songs by Elton John and Carole King on themed nights.
He later attended college at North Carolina State University (whose sports teams are known as the Wolfpack), where he majored in communications.
Scotty is mainly known for songs like (in chronological order) “I Love You This Big,” “The Trouble with Girls,” “See You Tonight” and “Five More Minutes.” He has released three studio albums to date: Clear as Day in 2011, See You Tonight in 2013, and Seasons Change in 2018.
Scotty and Gabi were high school sweethearts (she appeared in the music video for “The Trouble with Girls”) and were married in June 2018. McCreery’s newest single, “This Is It,” is partly autobiographical, based on his proposal while hiking.
