We want our pups to feel safe and comfortable, which is why we often spoil them with treats and toys. And with enclosed dog beds, pups get both of these feelings.

There are a lot of options out there when it comes to finding the perfect bed for our dogs. And while we are fans of both heated dog beds and the washable varieties as well, have you noticed the enclosed dog beds that have risen in popularity lately?

Think of these enclosed pet beds as a mini cave for your pup. They are perfect for dogs that seem to need a little hideaway when life gets stressful. Having a rescue pup with anxiety means that I completely understand what that is like. From loud noises to too many people, our pup sometimes needs an escape. And while he is too big for his kennel (and our apartment isn’t big enough for a larger one), he has taken to hiding under the bed.

If your dog is the same way, then he may love these enclosed dog beds. Whether it’s for eating his treats, taking a nap, or seeking comfort and safety, these dog beds are actually the perfect alternative to cages and kennels. (Not that they are a replacement for them, but they do offer a comfortable hideaway in their place.)

These beds are perfect for dogs that need a little privacy in their life. And of course, they are also cozy which is an added bonus.

From beds that look like opened mouth animals, to comfy caves, and even teepees, there is a style for any dog and their owner. Check out your local pet store or Amazon to see what they have to offer. And if you are looking for some ideas, we have you covered.

Merry Product Pet Teepee

At Petco, you can find the perfect enclosed pet beds in the shape of teepees. And luckily these come in two sizes, medium and large, which gives your pup more flexibility and room. We see this as a tent for your dog, and it is definitely designed with them in mind.

Pet Parade Pet Cave Dog Bed

This particular pet cave is more like a den, with more of a half-enclosure. It’s basically a standard pet bed with a bit of coverage, which means your pup is basically covered up in their own bed. This is a favorite for many dogs and their owners, as they are just as easy to move and use as a standard dog bed.

Pet Life Roar Bear Enclosed Dog Bed

If you are looking for a dog bed that is whimsical and fun, then this roaring bear enclosed bed is the perfect choice. Not only will it give your pup the comfort and safety they need, but it is a cute addition to any room. This enclosed bed is even versatile enough to be used as a type of dog house, which makes it that much more usable.
