Does your doggo have an ugly Christmas sweater? It could win big prizes.

While your pet might have a fancy coat or snazzy sweater to keep him warm, it could earn lots of prizes if it wins the Ugly Christmas Sweater contest.

The contest is co-hosted by on-demand dog walking app Wag! and holiday apparel company Tipsy Elves to put on the contest.

The directions are simple: Dress your pupper in holiday apparel, snap a picture, and upload to the contest’s website (linked to in previous paragraph) with a caption. Submissions are open until Sunday, December 16.

Participants are encouraged to use family members, add props, and otherwise go the extra mile to achieve the greatest ugly Christmas sweater photo ever.

Public voting will run from December 17-20, with the winner being announced on December 21. The top three pictures receiving the most votes will win.

The Grand Prize is Wag! credits worth $500, a Wag! swag bag worth $250, and a $500 Tipsy Elves gift card. Second Prize receives $250 in Wag! credits, a $100 bag of Wag! swag, and a $250 Tipsy Elves gift card. Third Prize will receive $150 in Wag! credits, a $100 Wag! swag bag, and a $150 Tipsy Elves gift card.

Wag! is available in cities within all fifty states and the Washington, D.C. area. It is essentially a kind of cross between a dog gym and canine Uber.

Tipsy Elves sees their company mission as “making the most outrageous clothes known to mankind in order to make your life more fun,” according to their website. They make outlandish clothes for Christmas, Hanukkah, and dogs as well. The dog sweaters are on sale right now, too.

And what could make a better prop for a cute photo than a plate of cookies or other yummy goodies that your dog is itching to steal? FoodSided has recipes, news and basically anything else related to food, and you really should go visit them.
