Dog leggings are now a thing, and we’re not surprised

Pet clothing has become big business. And now a new company is introducing the world to dog leggings, and we are definitely not surprised.

Pet clothing and costumes has become a big business. Hit up social media and you will see plenty of pups and cats alike, decked out in their finest duds. And now, a new company is introducing the world to dog leggings, and not only are we not surprised, but we are also a bit intrigued.

According to People Magazine, a canine clothing company known as Walkee Paws has decided that whatever humans can wear, our dogs can as well. And while we aren’t sure we completely believe that idea, we are definitely fascinated by the concept.

Walkee Paws, which is apparently looking to be considered an athleisure line for our pups, has introduced dog leggings that are waterproof to keep our dogs’ legs and paws dry even on the rainiest days. At this time, the company is offering three different sizes, and four different designs, which means even the largest pup can get their own pair of leggings.

Considering the variety of pet clothing out there, we are definitely not surprised that someone has finally created dog leggings. And from what we see, these leggings could end up being rather popular, as pet owners will be able to stop their pups from dragging in dirt and mud by taking these leggings off at the door.

So, not only are these a fashion statement for your dog, but they are also designed to be comfortable while protecting the pup’s paws. These leggings take the place of dog booties, that often annoy our canines and even fall off. Thanks to their less restrictive nature and the stretchy material, it seems these dog leggings are able to stay on securely, while still allowing the dogs to run around freely without discomfort.

Honestly, we aren’t sure how we feel about the look of these leggings, as they probably aren’t the biggest fashion statement we have ever seen. But, at the same time, we actually do love the idea of them and what they are able to do for our pups. The idea of replacing uncomfortable booties with these leggings makes a lot of sense and we wouldn’t mind seeing more of these.

Dog coats and heated pet beds are also a thing, it should be noted.
