Dogs can have it their way now thanks to Burger King’s latest creation, the Doggper. The Doggper is a flame-grilled dog bone that any pup will love.
When you think of Burger King, you probably don’t think of your dog. But that is all about to change, thanks to the company’s decision to create the flame-grilled dog bone known as the Doggper.
According to USA Today, the new Doggper will give our furry friends the same flavor profile as the restaurant’s iconic Whopper (unsurprising given the bone’s name), in a treat that works just for them. Burger King explained that they decided to make a treat for those of us who prefer to take our meals home to enjoy, but have to deal with interrupting dogs. The restaurant said this dog bone is, “a solution for customers who want to enjoy their order at home without interruption from their pets.”
However, don’t rush out to Burger King looking for this new Doggper just yet. Instead, this new dog treat is only being offered through the delivery service, DoorDash for a limited time. And while this is sad news for those of us who prefer to grab our food from the restaurant ourselves, it is possible that we could see the Whopper-inspired dog bone become a more permanent fixture at Burger King depending on how popular they are.
If you want to treat your pooch to a Doggper while supplies last, place an order for a Whopper through DoorDash and the company will even give you this dog bone for free. And if you use the code Doggper when you place the order on DoorDash through December 4, it seems the humans will even get free delivery on orders over $10. Basically it is a win for human and dog alike.
This dog-friendly offering from Burger King is only while supplies last and restricted to participating restaurants. But if you can snag one of these Doggper’s for your pooch, we definitely think they will be happy and so will you. And while this should go without saying, remember that this is specifically a dog treat, which means it is not for human consumption.
