Every fall Saturday our pups are cheering on their favorite teams from the comfort of the couch on the Noisy Box.

Each week Dog O’Day brings you a canine-focused highlight reel of NCAA Division I scores from across the college football landscape.

Like many other weekends, Week 11 was a bit of a mixed bag for the canine contingent.

Millie the Golden/Lab mix is all set to cheer on Boston College as the No. 17 Eagles faced off against the No. 2 Clemson Tigers in a battle for the ACC Atlantic Division championship. Unfortunately, Clemson stayed undefeated with the 27-7 win on the road.

Russell the Corgi is pretty confident that his No. 4 Michigan Wolverines will have no trouble with a trip to Rutgers. He was right – the Wolverines trounced the Scarlet Knights 42-7.

Aspen the Australian Shepherd has a lot of growing to do, but she’s big enough already to know that Bedlam is the biggest game in Oklahoma, as the No. 6 Sooners host the Oklahoma State Cowboys. It was a close one, but the Sooners squeaked out a 48-47 win over their neighbors.

The weekend’s action actually began on Wednesday night in the MAC, as the Northern Illinois Huskies remained undefeated in conference play with a 38-15 victory over the Toledo Rockets.

Thursday night in the ACC the Wake Forest Demon Deacons upset the No. 14 Wolfpack of North Carolina State by a 27-23 score, NC State falls to 6-3 on the year.

Friday night the No. 23 Bulldogs of Fresno State fell 24-17 to the Boise State Broncos – maybe the blue turf threw them off.

On Saturday in the SEC, Reveille the Collie’s Texas A&M Aggies hosted the Ole Miss Rebels, and they became bowl-eligible with the 38-24 win in a CBS-televised game.

Smokey the Coonhound’s Tennessee Volunteers topped the Wildcats from No. 11 Kentucky 24-7.

The No. 16 Bulldogs of Mississippi State had the misfortune to play No. 1 Alabama this week, and though they held the Crimson Tide to their lowest offensive output of the season, they were still shut out 24-0 on national television in the CBS afternoon contest.

Uga’s No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs won 27-10 in their contest with the No. 24 Auburn Tigers.

UConn’s terrible football season continued, as the Huskies were defeated 62-50 by the SMU Mustangs in what might have been an American Conference basketball game.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs devoured the Rice Owls 28-13 in a Conference USA matchup.

In the Sun Belt, the Arkansas State Red Wolves became bowl-eligible with their 44-16 dismantling of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.

In the Mountain West, the New Mexico Lobos were grounded 42-24 by the Falcons of Air Force.

At press time, the Nevada Wolf Pack were still playing the Colorado State Rams.

The No. 25 Washington Huskies were not playing this weekend.
