Canine college football roundup, Week 10
Every fall Saturday, our pups cheer on their favorite college football teams on the Noisy Box from the comfort of the living room.
It was a big week in college football, as the playoff picture got a lot clearer and many Top 25 teams were upset.
As always, there were plenty of dogs of Instagram barking encouragement to their favorite teams.
These very very good tailgaters were cheering on their No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide as they ran away from the No. 4 LSU Tigers, shutting them out 29-0 to with the Southeastern Conference’s West Division.
The week began in the MAC on Thursday night, as the Northern Illinois Huskies became bowl-eligible and stayed unbeaten in conference play as they knocked off the Akron Zips by a 36-26 score.
In a battle for the SEC East Division title, Uga’s No. 6 Georgia Bulldogs ran past the No. 9 Kentucky Wildcats, winning on the road 34-17.
The Bulldogs of No. 18 Mississippi State had no trouble with the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, winning 45-3 in a nonconference matchup.
In another nonconference game, Smokey’s Tennessee Volunteers defeated the Charlotte 49ers 14-3 in a low-scoring affair.
No. 20 Texas A&M was upset by Auburn, as the Tigers’ emerged victorious from their tussle with Reveille’s Aggies in a close one, 28-24.
The Tigers were cheered on by this fluffer, who apparently thinks he’s Hobbes?
In the ACC, No. 21 North Carolina State had no trouble on the road at Florida State, as the Wolfpack dispatched the Seminoles 47-28.
That wasn’t great news for Bentley the bulldog, but he stood by his team loyally anyway.
From the Sun Belt, the Arkansas State Red Wolves pounded the Jaguars of South Alabama by a 38-14 score.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane caged up UConn, as the Huskies fell 49-19.
The Washington Huskies defeated Pac-12 rival Stanford, triumphing 27-23.
In the Mountain West, the No. 23 Fresno State Bulldogs clobbered UNLV, winning 48-3 over the Rebels.
The New Mexico Lobos were defeated by the Aztecs of San Diego State 31-23.
