Netflix is released a dog-focused documentary series next month.

The six-episode series will become available on Nov. 16.

Titled Dogs, each episode tells a standalone story about the deep emotional bonds that tie humans and their pets together, according to Variety.

The series will have episodes set in a variety of locales scattered around the world.

The series will be produced by Glen Zipper and Amy Berg, both well-versed in creating documentary content.

“Dogs don’t just make us feel loved, dogs make us feel safe,” Zipper told Variety. “In the world we live in today, no matter how divided we are, we should take care to realize how much dogs mean to all of us, and how our bond with them can help bring us together.”

Based on the trailer, this series will pull at all the heartstrings and cause all the emotions.

One episode focuses on an Italian fisherman and his Labrador Ice, another episode on a girl with severe seizures and her service dog Rory.

Other episodes center around Japanese groomers and a shelter within the jungle of Costa Rica.

Another episode is about a Syrian immigrant’s efforts to get his Husky Zeus across the border.

The series is a nice break from Netflix’s more common dark tone with its original series, or for those who don’t care for grounded and superviolent superhero tales like Daredevil.

It could make for pleasant Thanksgiving conversation around the table when you aren’t watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, football or the National Dog Show.
