College football season is in full swing, which means every fall Saturday your pup is cheering on their favorite team on the Noisy Box.

Here’s your weekly college football recap of the canine world within the NCAA Division I.

As always, four-legged fans were cheering on their favorite schools.

Ruby Sue the yellow Lab was pulling for her Iowa Hawkeyes from the comfort of her yard, complete with fancy yellow bandanna.

Florida Gator fans Maya and Dixie were ready for their team’s big game with Georgia.

Charlie wishes she could be in Stillwater for Homecoming (and Eskimo Joe’s leftovers) when her Oklahoma State Cowboys face the Texas Longhorns.

The week’s action began on Friday, as the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs became bowl-eligible with their 21-13 Conference USA win over the Owls of Florida Atlantic.

In the Southeastern Conference’s biggest game this week, Uga’s No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs soundly defeated their rivals the No. 9 Florida Gators 36-17.

Smokey’s Tennessee Volunteers fell to the South Carolina Gamecocks 27-24.

The Bulldogs of Mississippi State overpowered Reveille’s Texas A&M Aggies 28-13 in another SEC contest.

In the ACC, the No. 23 North Carolina State Wolfpack couldn’t overcome the Syracuse Orange, dropping the contest 51-41.

In the Sun Belt, the Arkansas State Red Wolves fell to the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns in a high=scoring 47-43 affair.

The Northern Illinois Huskies edged the BYU Cougars 7-6 in a nonconference matchup, improving to 5-3 on the season.

The Huskies of UConn, on the other hand, were unlucky in their nonconference game against UMass, falling 22-17 to the Minutemen.

The California Golden Bears upset the No. 15 Washington Huskies 12-10 in Pac-12 action.

In the Mountain West, the New Mexico Lobos were blown out by Utah State, falling 61-19 to the Aggies.

The Fresno State Bulldogs-Hawaii Warriors and Nevada Wolf Pack-San Diego State Aztecs games were still in progress at the writing of this story.
