College Football is back, and so is the University of Georgia’s famous bulldog mascot, Uga — the top college mascot in the country.

The University of Georgia football team might not be the top team in the country, but its mascot is doing his part as top dog. Uga is the name of the school’s bulldog mascot, and he was recently named the best college mascot in the entire country.

If you’re keeping score, that’s 14-slots ahead of the Georgia Bulldogs. The football team is ranked 15th in the national AP Top 25 poll.

Uga X is the official name of the dog, as he’s the tenth incarnation of the Bulldogs’ beloved mascot. If he’s top dog in the country, how can we not name him our Dog of the Day on the first Saturday of College Football’s season?

If you don’t already have a college football team to root for, Georgia might have just won you over.
