5 Netflix movies to watch when you finish Scoob!
Have you finished watching the Scoob! movie with your family and now you want something fun and maybe dog friendly to watch next? Are you overwhelmed with all of the choices available on Netflix? Then we are here to help.
Now that you’ve finished the Scoob! movie, you may be looking for some more family friendly movies that also give you the same joy and wonder. Luckily, we were looking for the same thing and want to make it easier for you to find something fun to watch.
While Scoob! was a perfect blend of nostalgia, animated fun, doggy goodness, and modern vibes, these five Netflix movies give us at least some of the same elements. And whether it is another Scooby-Doo movie or something completely different, these five movies are all about the family fun.
5 movies on Netflix for the Scoob! lover
5. Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island
Short Sell: It’s Scooby-Doo! Honestly, if there are any Scooby movies on Netflix, then they have to be in a list of movies to watch after the Scoob! movie. It doesn’t make sense otherwise.
As an added bonus, Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island really feels like a classic caper for the Mystery Inc. team, but just with an extended run time. Which means that this has the feel of the original cartoons, while also giving us a bit more to enjoy.
Netflix describes:
"When Daphne’s TV show does a segment on real monsters, the gang fires up the Mystery Machine and heads to Moonscar Island, where zombies await."
4. Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore
Short Sell: While this movie may not be animated, it is a lot of fun. We are talking world domination and cats and dogs coming together to stop a power hungry kitty. Really, the entire premise is in the name.
While this sequel to the original Cats & Dogs might not seem like a must watch, if you have nothing better to do, this one is ridiculous and yet a lot of fun. Maybe it’s the fact that you just can’t take it seriously at all, but Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore is definitely worth watching at least once.
Netflix describes:
"Cats and dogs must set aside their differences and merge animal instincts when Kitty Galore decides to claw her way to global domination."
3. Arctic Dogs
Short Sell: Maybe it is the voice cast, or maybe it is the premise of the movie, but Arctic Dogs definitely feels like a worthy follow-up to the Scoob! movie. After all, we are talking about Jeremy Renner, James Franco, and Heidi Klum, to name a few of the stars lending their voice talents.
Not only is this an epic animated adventure, but it is also super cute (my kind of movie!). I love that it brings together all kinds of animals in a race to save the world, and really you know there are going to be issues with actually being heroic and stuff (it wouldn’t be fun if there weren’t roadblocks to saving the world).
Netflix describes:
"When he stumbles upon evil Otto Von Walrus’s scheme to melt the Arctic, ambitious delivery fox Swifty assembles a ragtag crew to protect the planet."
2. Secret Life of Pets 2
Short Sell: The Secret Life of Pets 2 continues the adventures of Max and his friends in the very best way possible – with new adventures and learning to be more confident. There are a lot of storylines in this movie, and yet they all seem to work.
And while there is less mystery to this film than say the Scoob! movie, there are still creatures to be saved and bad guys to be stopped. It would be wrong not to recommend this movie as a follow-up to Scoob!, especially with how much fun this film really is.
Netflix describes:
"On a farm outside New York, Max aims to boost his confidence while in the city, Snowball attempts to rescue a tiger cub and Gidget pretends to be a cat."
1. Garfield’s Pet Force
Short Sell: Much like Scooby-Doo, Garfield is a classic cartoon character that we can’t help but love watching. And with Odie at his side, Garfield is just as much fun to watch as Scooby and his friends.
In this animated film, we get to see Garfield and his friends join forces to save the world from aliens and the undead. Honestly, if Scooby did show up in this one, we wouldn’t have been surprised at all, after all he deals with a lot of zombies in his line of work. Garfield’s Pet Force is so much fun to watch that we honestly want more of his fat cat and his canine companion!
Netflix describes:
"When an alien menace and her army of undead minions threaten to enslave the world, Garfield heads a team of comic-strip superheroes to save the day."
There are a lot of movies on Netflix, but if you are looking for things to watch that give you some of the same vibes as the Scoob! movie, then these five films may just be the answer. Whether it is another Scooby movie or a fellow classic character, these films deliver all the fun and family friendly content we could have hoped for.
